Sylvia M. Woodman

Sylvia M. Woodman 88, of Williams St., died Friday March 16, 2013 at Mt. Valley Hospice in Gloversville after a long illness. Sylvia was born in Schenectady, a daughter of the late Arthur and Sophie Schlansker Chur. She was a graduate of Draper High School and Mildred Elley Business School. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, William Woodman in 1988 and her son William in 1977.
She was a long time member of Faith United Methodist Church and and the United Methodist Women's Group.
Survived by her daughter, Suzanne Whitbeck and her husband Rodney of Edinberg and her grandson Rodney Whitbeck of Edinberg.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral service that will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM at the Jones Funeral Home 1503 Union St., (at McClellan St.), Schenectady, with Rev. Robert DeFelice officiating. A calling hour will be held from 10:30 AM to the time of the service. Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made in Sylvia's memory to Mt. Valley Hospice, 108 Steel Ave., Gloversville, NY 12078. Burial will be in Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam
